Hi Kelly, your guitar playing on this is truly excellent. You so much remind me of the great Gary Moore. Loike the title of this too. Would love to hear you collaborate with a vocalist. Still this is amazing. PJ
HELL you've certainly nailed this. Truly amazing guitar work.A real pleasure for the ears.Rated.All the best Paul
Sweet playing dude. I Noticed I first heard this back in 2007 - sounding sweet. I think the leccy piano is coming out good now. Fuller sound and lush. The doubled guits at 3mins still have a minor "clash" but it is very minor. Maybe pump the bass end up a bit on eq - it might just add a touch. Can't rate but will press something relevant.
Wow, how utterly fabulous!!!
I think Stevie and Jeff would like your version. I certainly do. Beautiful guitar work and nicely mixed as well. -rl
Never cease to show your talents with the guitar kelly. Super crisp and super tight guitar playing, love the melody (never heard the original)... Love the slight delay(sounds like multi-tap) on the high notes of the guitar.. A crying, solo guitar melody is somehting i never tire of hearing and you pull it all off so well.... Thank you for sharing..
I have never heard Jeff Beck's version so cannot compare, nor do I want to....you are a joy to listen to, Kelly...can't get much better than this!
Fantasic playing and rendition. I love the emotions you pull out of those strings my friend. Love it ezrate B A D L O V E J U N K I E
Loved it, your rendition did it justice, great track
my favorite song. well done bro'
Lost in music heaven..........late for work too. F em. Hope my boss doesn't come hear.
Fixed the awkward double track there Col Thumb... you were right... thanks ;)
I think we all agree on the tone. Luvverly sound. Emotional playing dude, you softie lol. Top stuff my man.
Hey Kelly, nice tone you got here - I can hear a bit of Vai influence in your style now. Some interesting key movements in this - almost had a fusion flavour in parts.
Came by for another listen bro, ya know I think I like this rendition better than Becks.
Hi, Great soulful guitar playing! Always interesting. Rated. Cheers, Smudge from Smudgie
LovEly tone on the guitar - very Santana-esque. you can hear the "soul in this" not sure baout the bit in the middle when there are a couple of guitars playing at the same time - sounds a bit "off". Good performance otherwise
nice ! avent heard that for ages , and preferred this version.very welled played !
Hey Hun. I'll forget my brain one day ;) Very cool playing - neat skills. I'm not really a fan of this style if I am honest but I can def feel the pain in your playing and know it takes alot of skill to play like this :) Big Upz - nice mix :) x
Well it has taken me ages to get here and have a listen to some music, lifes like that sometimes eh? but now I am here (and better late than never) Have to say that this is really nice, sometimes I find that guitar instrumentals (even though well played) can be lacking in integrity, and sometimes too heavily reliant on effect etc, but this has some real soul, feeling and great musicianship combined to produce a great track. It's a very enjoyable listen , extremely well performed and well balanced. An excellent offering, and it's great to return and hear a fab tune like this.. Big thumbs up!!!!
Came back for another listen dude. Awesome track
smooth moves dude. you def do give the guit the reputation it deserves. very tasty licks from start to finish. some sharp harmonics in there to spice things up. great stuff (:
Not sure how but I don't have any nominations for the week? There go my bad dreams again. Sorry, I will try to catch this when I am reloaded.
Thanks for the special invitation Kelly. Loved the original and Loving this listen... sexy, smooth and full of emotions. You are such a talented performer. No download darn-but I leave a nomination anyway. Bravo! :)
Glorious guitar playing, very much like the guitar tone you went with on this, really rings out. Must admit all you guitar dudes are seriously making me consider buying a guitar at xmas :) This is a very expressive track, did I mention the lovely playing. Sounds bleeding hard though lol. Rated :)
The original of this is one of my all time favourite instrumentals. Jeff Becks tone is one of the best and most easily recognisable of any guitarist in the world. This is a good rendition Kelly. There are a few wrong notes here and there and some parts aren't as fluid as I'd like them to be but you have captured the emotion in the song well so I can forgive that. Great song, well played. Rated. Craig
El Becko! Jeff Beck IMHO is one of the most difficult guitar players to emulate both in playing and instrument tone! This isn't the most difficult piece of music but truly one of Becks best! You've really captured most of his inflections in your playing here Kelly! Tones are very sweet! Good job mate! R8!
I could really see this being used as a backing to a film, definetly has the right vibe to it! Your certainly a very talented guitarist mate! makes me wish i could play better!!!!
Yeah, this is one of the best ugitar piece on here, a real jewel.
Very chilled piece with absolutely stunning guitar work. the intro into the song reminds me of a few of floyds tracks. The backing goes hand in hand beautifully with the guitar and drumbeats. I think Andy says it all below, Class !!! .... ending is a little cut off (i know im being a picky witch lol) gr8 work :)
likes the jeffster so this was fun to listen to - nice version - good performance , Kelly:)
As JAmes has said already this has class written all over it.Not much more to add Kelly a fine job.Rated Andy :)
intro a little slow but once it gets started with the drums really starts to get somewhere and the melodies are very nice, reminds me of a movie sound track but i can't remember but i like it, keys very nice and very pro production, but man its the guitar melody thats doing for me really catch. Rated! Matt
Excellent !!!! Tones on the guitar are perfect.. Chops are flawless... Good job Kelly !!!!!
This has class written all over it dude. You caught the beck vibe pretty good bro. Well done and take a rate on this fine, fine offering. Hell take a nom dude too.
Soundin pretty good brother, your harmonics are soundin right up there too. Rated I'm really likin those string harmonics
Fusion has been my genre of choice for several years, but I am also inspired by rock, jazz, blues and most recently, metal.
My recording/mixing skills have yet to be acquired, my playing is at best sub-par, but my enthusiam for creating music shall never waiver.
The bulk of my future lies in Alternative Metal. I have recently gained a keen interest in creating that crunch! I have no real "Rock Star" aspirations, but enjoy engaging in collabs to create something new and different.
I also build custom guitars. Please view my artists gallery for a look at some of my projects.
Thanks!
<pre>Cryin: I think I must go around with my head in my ass sometimes...I don't remember listening to yor music before and it's just fabulous, Kelly...damn I am so impressed...you and Joseph have a lot in common...take a nom!! dawnsinclair - 16 May 2008
This is beautiful and dramatic music - it is obvious that you love playing it - every note is wonderful. MoonTurnedBlue - 27 July 2008

Insanity: Wow Kelly, this is awesome! Love the mix of guitar and electronica, the sweeps are spot on an there is also some lovelt whammy bar work in there. Love the Eastern feel again - have a soft spot for the harmonic minor and arabian sounds. Cool tones too, really look forward to hearing the completed version. PM me when it's up! Superhuman - 05 December 2007
Superhumnan's Phantasm: God Kelly. How I have missed you on this site eludes me. Seems everyone knows who you are. If I didn't need to head off to work I would have a new album to listen to. Be back and thanks for the DL's. Rated. Beluga - 08 May 2008
Zappa X:
I hear the Sheik Yerbouti style of Big Frank especially at about the minute mark or just a tad over. Dead good this dude. Oh yeah 1min 36 and it's got that vibe real cool. Great final 30 dude. Rated (as if there was any doubt) James Oakwood - 15 September 2008

This is one is quite different for Kelly, given the electro slant. I liked this track the first time I heard it, although there are a couple of rough edits the track flows in a nice unusual way. The track open with Kelly's signiture use of the whammy bar - something that is not easy to do at all. I really love the little diminished run followed by a more traditional solo break. Over the yea
This really blew me away, you can tell there is a lot of passion in what is being played. Element of several bands i loved came through, Sabbath being the first feel i noticed.I'd love to see something like this on Guitar Heroes, largely cos i'm no where near that good on guitar and like pretending i am(hey its cooler than air guitaring)Top notch stuff#:)
For a newbie/beginner, the composition is conceived well, and the arrangement was laid out in a thoughtful manner. I can hear a lot of the influences you mention on your page, but you do not call special attention to any of them, which is always a good thing for a player of your level. There are enough genres/styles blended in to make this tune interesting to other devotees of jazz fusion, prog r
This tune had me fooled for the first 8 bars or so. I thought it was a totally generic jazz track that some wanna-be would be adding his licks to. What I got instead was a truly artistic contribution to a rather basic jazz rhytm section that turned this generic into a genre that needs to be focused on. What was jazz fusion is no longer con-fusion with this artist. Rock meets Jazz meets Acid
While this track left no doubt as to why the composer named it as such, I must say that without a structured tempo as well as the frequent non-timed breaks throughout the piece I found it difficult to gather in the full emotion of the artist. Great sound and unique effects give homage to this artists influences, but needs more structure in this reviewers opinion.
