I agree with Dan's..." I may not..." but the music is some thing else! :)...lots of sonic textures...liked the way you build the changes....moving the listener along the groove...big, full mix...enjoyed...yeah the distorted guitar synth sound was a nice touch...builds around that sound nicely...quite engaging :) Thumbs to Tedd-Zee :)
Nice Starter Beat :) Sounds clean... Crispy Beats and atmosphere into that dark bass Lead :) I like that...the snappy hats compliment the Groove. Cool Proggy vibes. Overall this track sounds lush and reminds me of 90's Euphoria :) Has that sweet Overall drive that lets your mind wonder and Dance Hard! Good work! Enjoyed alot :) Ess X
Love the relaxed ( if could have said chilled but I'd rather not) vibe in the drive. This tune has a Sunday afternoon I'm gettin on an early load about it as well. The production is so warm and inviting. I always find house music to be meant for the background mostly but this has a stance that stands out.
I may or may not suffer from some of the effects of your music (Leprosy, epilepsy, autism, carpal tunnel syndrome, homosexuality, puberty, Henry Rollins disease (in which you have urges to wear speedo underwear and shout poetry at young boys), nausea, stigmata, diarrhoea, halitosis, toxic shock syndrome, tuberculosis, meningitis, lockjaw and more homosexuality at weekends), I do so enjoy your music. That beginning hooked me and I stayed there all the way through....
Described by many as "Edgy Electro-Nonsense", Tedd-Z (pronounced "Tedd Zee", if you're wondering) hails from the UK and has been producing his own brand of electronica for over 16 years! He is also known for his remixes in his remix project The Tedd-Z Cookbook, but this is his main music page! He is also involved in many side projects, including Brainplant (his Drum n Bass project) and Power Of The Gods (a collaboration of electronica artists), among others!
Possible side effects from listening to Tedd-Z's music: Leprosy, epilepsy, autism, carpal tunnel syndrome, homosexuality, puberty, Henry Rollins disease (in which you have urges to wear speedo underwear and shout poetry at young boys), nausea, stigmata, diarrhoea, halitosis, toxic shock syndrome, tuberculosis, meningitis, lockjaw and more homosexuality at weekends!

I was going to review The Pheasant Has No Agenda, but since that was written upon my orders, Mr Z has asked me to choose another track, so I selected Familiar Failings because I really like the title. Now I am completely out of my comfort zone here since I am not a big fan of electronic music, but one must test one's limitations. This track starts with a kick drum that would rip your teeth out, It'
I remember fondly mixing one of Tedd-Z's tracks 'Distant Belifes' into a promotional music video, and it fitting beautifully amongst the other artists music who took part. Tedd-z has an insane fondness for creating electronic music that will not only blow your mind, but also your eardrums, as every little detail has been thought of to the slightest sound, [production qualityat its very best.]
Let me first start off by Stating that I have know Tedd-Z since joining this site way way back in a time I was the new guy, and Tedd was amongst the first people I had interaction with., but let me add that my review will not be bias or show favoritism any way.
I like to think I give a fair and honest review and hope that nothing I say is taken too seriously, after all this is only one m
One thing that can hook me in to one of Chris' songs is his unique penchant for choosing titles for them. This one definitely is title of the year.
Chris has never opted for the easy 4 to the floor option which makes him, certainly in my book, an artist that should be listened to. You can guarantee that whatever song you pick from the Tedd-Z colection you will not be disappointed
Tedd-Z is one of those artists who seem to have been around forever, pop up every once a while to baffle, confuse and - at times enlighten us with their music. Seeing as I have history with Tedd-Z then going back a few years, it certainly gives me the right to pull his wings off if he gets too cocky innit? Still, don't have to do that with this guy that often because he has learned extremely w
When offering to do these reviews, I did point out that I have little or no technical knowledge about the making of Electronica music. So when reviewing an artist who describes his own music as 'Edgy Electro Nonsense' you'd figure I'd be pretty out of my depth. And to some extent you'd be right. Luckily though (for me), this certain slice of 'Edgy Electro Nonsense' is from a genre I know quite wel
Yet another in a long line of 'edgy electronic nonsense' tracks from MP3 Unsigned bad boy Tedd-Z looms into view, it's impending presence somewhat alleviated by the fact that his last track gained a Must Have from me. Now if you could just stop rubbing your eyes in disbelief, we'll get on. Senseless Logic (March 2008) absolutely blew me away; a match of electronica and dancehall that w
It's always best, I have found, to be wary of an approaching Tedd-Z track because sometimes Tedd-Z can be a bit.....how can I put this? Edgy? Maniacal? Profoundly disturbing? Yep, he can be all those things and more as I've discovered in the years I have known his work. That comment should at least give you one clue; anyone who has been doing this for years HAS to have some
Up for my next review is Tedd-Z’s Electronica song,
Blasophora. I woke up this morning feeling pretty good so I’m in a swell mood
to do some writing! I’ve downloaded the song and I’m going to press play. Here
we go, folks!
Two storming sounds coming from different directions
accompanied with a nice fragrant saw synth noise begin the electronics. Very
nice and deep sounding. I
Way back when all this computer technology was still in short pants, games were the big thing driving the innovation of new hardware. One of the best companies of the time was LucasArts whose games were stunning; musically and gameplay. One game has become a kind of legend and it is also the inspiration behind Tedd-Z's new musical offering; Loom. Ah, them were the days though eh?
OK I can see by the way some of you are scuttling for cover that despite the terse bandname and the convoluted song title, you know full well what's coming next. Hey I understand the 'flee for your lives' tradition, I've been a proud member of it all my life. However, as one does, I've developed a fairly hardy shell towards certain artists who have exposed themselves to me, one of them
Next up is a Tedd-Z track called 'clock' which is very much more in my area of personal listening, being more electronic based and instrumental in nature. Actually I felt an immediate affinity with the track because I had just done a very similar slightly ambient feel slight myself and this one seemed to be going for that area of sound as well. How do you explain a track like this to someone who
Another name all too familiar to me from MP3 Unsigned. I seem to have known Tedd-Z forever although I'm certain sure it can't be much more than four years or so since we first met. He's given my ears several right blisterings over the past mumble-mumble years, and - on the plus side - one or two quite tasteful moments. See, the one thing that can always be said about Tedd-Z
According to Tedd-Z’s biography his particular blend of “edgy electro nonsense” is prone to causing (amongst other things) carpal tunnel syndrome, halitosis and homosexuality at weekends. I’ll let you know (as I write it’s still only Tuesday)…
The track starts with some new-age sounding pan pipes and the crashing waves of the sea. I’m getting an overwhelming feeling of having just entered
I like two things in a man... ginger hair and modesty.
Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware electronic maestro Tedd-Z only has one of these qualities - at least he's a down to earth fella. You can't have everything.
Anyone who describes their own music as "nonsense" when it quite clearly isn't is a good bloke in my book.
"Crazy" is probably a more apt adjective - at least as
Ok so i haven't really listened to electronica before but i kinda liked this, it was a really soothing smooth track with really nice beats.
Hang around in this place long enough and you'll meet everybody at least twice. Hang around as long as I have and you see the comings and going and the ups and down of internet and forum life with some caution, in every way. Shit happens, as the old saying goes, and I pretty much agree with every word. A lot of that shit has hit Tedd-Z in his time, some of it even from my directi
I am going to be careful of this one, very careful.
TeddZ is a wonderfully gifted musician who for some reason goes through massive periods of self-doubt and a modicum of self-degradation, and up till this day I don’t understand why.
Ok sure he isn’t ever going to be the king of pop or even the most approachable musician, but that’s what gives him his edge.
The best way to describe wha
First off i will just say that this track isn't for the mainstream hence the low rating for commercial appeal.
OK first i'll start by saying that i've heard a few tracks by this artist and let me say that Tedd-z's style is not to everyones taste. However when i played this for the first time i was pleasantly suprised.
The melody of this track is superb with the what seems to be a toy piano type s
