Keep Trying (featuring iris brickfield)
Nice work Carol and Iris! Superb production and lots of energy in the backing track and good uplifting message in the vocals. I didn't know you performed so strongly Carol, I can only apologise for not paying enough attention til now. I do want chord changes though to add more to the song's dynamics, too late to be greedy but there you go.
Hi Songbird! Lovely constructed track with haunting music by Iris wich is excellent. Your vocals compliment it very well ( as usual) Regards to Vic Take Care Andy :)
This is a really nicely done track! I really like the intro, it gives a sense of eeriness while managing to still sound beautiful. Some really good vocals here. The acoustic guitar in the background is really good. Great job :)

Love the classical feel of this track, full of musical hooks and vocal passion. Just brilliant Carol Sue, Congrats to Iris, Big Thumb, Gibbo
A brilliant collaboration, excellent music from Iris and another soulful and impressive vocal from Carol. Great ending too. Kudos to you both. FC
What a great sound...All blend superbly and your gorgeous voice comes through again sounding controlled and dynamic. I think it could do with a boost in the mix though. Short and sweet. Rated.
You're kindness will long be remembered... we thank you all very much! :)(:
Blown away! Hats off to Iris too. Superb collab. Nice understated ending too.
an nice song with and good feel to it i like the acoustic guitar with the synth it sounds well good then the drums come in and it sounds mega and great vocal as well
Hey Carol, Iris is truly talented and this collaboration is fantastic! Soaring melodies and your soulful rendition of the beautiful lyric makes a very nice listen indeed! Easy to rate and kudos to the two of you for first rate work!
Beautifull music. The guitar and the strings is that i like more...Some musics i have to listen more times to see if they are good or not, because one time listen is not enuff, but this one i have rated in first audiction...you know wat i mean Carol
Happy that you all visited, thanks so much! Iris gave the okay on sharing the download, so it will be available for a little while, if anyone would like.
Alright, that's it! I want backstage passes when you go on tour! Never ever doubt yourself! Both you and Iris. Never! this is wonderful! I love the symphonic aspect to this. It really makes it sound way beyond large and the ivories just inject so much soul of passion to the overall sound. Dig it! -Mike
Gee's Miss C, this collab with Iris is just amazing. You sound glorious lady! This just oozes lushness in emotion and all encompassing musicality at its most poignant stride. How beautiful it all is.
What an inspiring song! Magnificent accompaniment, those keyboards are exquisite, great use of strings and that acoustic guitar fits perfectly...as does your brilliant lyrics and vocals Carol Sue. Big smiles, and a big thumbs up, heartily enjoyed this one!
Slightly sad..but somewhat hopeful and reflective. I love the emotion and I'm a sucker for sad piano. Loved this.
Wow so many tracks. Very nice vocal performance and cool backing track. is this folk? I love the strings, Thank you for the comment on my artist page. Thanks. Mani
Thank you all so much~ we appreciate that you took the time to listen, and share your thoughts. You're all very special people, you know that! ((hugs))
Hi Carol, A wonderful collaboration, the pacing of all the parts is spot on, perfect, your vocals/guitar/synths/drums are all excellent, and like all great art, I come away feeling refreshed, and inspired! Cheers, Andrew
You certainly have a superb instrumental track to add vocals to Carol. It flows beautifully with every element perfectly in place - i have a soft spot for the string sound and the acoustic guitar. The backwards guitar chord is a nice touch also. You have adorned this piece with an excellent vocal melody. Your lead vocal is very expressive Carol and i admire the way you adapt your singing style to suit the instrumentation you are given. Your voice on this sounds completely different to the Alive collaboration for example. I love the positivity and optimism in the lyrics. The message is heartfelt and really hits the spot sentiment wise. Iris' backing vocals work extremely well and add an interesting texture to the recording. If i'm to be picky then it would be to make an observation that on my set up (headphones) the vocal sound (not the singing) is just a bit dull.. I feel it should be more vibrant and brighter in the mix. Just an opinion and certainly no big deal. Another chart topper? I'd put money on it. A wonderful fusion of two talented artists. Thumbs. James
Hey Carol Sue, what a wonderful collaboration and song. I've listened to this track (In Dreams) as an instrumental many times after dl'ing it from "Mr" Brickfield's page...;-). You have once again, taken another track and morphed it into a something very special. That voice, oh that voice.......I'm such a big fan of both of you...
Ffabbia, thank you~ and it is so good to see you around the site again! oh dear, some recipe you have there, lol :) Iris is a man, and he does have a page here on Mp3unsigned. He answered my ad in the forums- seeking music to write & sing to. Quite the pleasant soul, that one!! (Thanks again, Iris~ a pleasure to work with you in music:)
Dunno who Iris is, but she plays a mean set of instruments, judging from what I heard, with a strong melodic hook. Your voice actually sounds kind of wistful and sad on this one, though performed with the usual flair. (if I were to 'play what I feel' I'd end up with a musical recipe for vodka-soaked baked gingerbread cookies, served with cat's milk). Glad to see you doing it so well though Carol.

Emotionally charged here, with the simplicity of guitar and vocals a song that truly strikes a cord within myself. What beauty exists in the simple things in life. In listening it is as though I feel what the singer is feeling, as though she is in the room with me. Absolutely stunning performance, applause...encore!
Carol Sue has been my only link to authentic country and western based music since joining this site and as such i need to apologise for the lack of references i have to offer in my review! Carol's 'Too Tired' was not new to me when i came to listen to it. I had heard it before and remembered it straight away! This catchy country tune is a homage to the love between a man and his motor cycle, an
My review of Carol Sue Kirkpatrick - I Am Invisible (with Mantrasolo) First off sorry for the delay, life has been busy over the past few weeks Anyways lets talk about carol & better still lets talk about the track J I got to admit I have a soft spot for carol, so I have got quite familiar with her style and sound But I think this is the first time I have actually heard car
Carol Sue Kirkpatrick - I Am Invisible (with Mantrasolo) Right from the start this track has an immediate presence – Just like the Lady who has penned this track. Carol was one of the first people I became very aware of when I first started looking around this site properly. Not only has Carol commented on my tracks regularly and with feeling, she regularly comments on all the artis
Going Through The Motions By Carol Sue Kirkpartick and Hans Mulders (Drainage). Is soul music actually good for the soul? Why did I ask myself that? I'm guessing all music affects our soul in one way or another, if we do actually have one, that is (I'm a sceptic myself, but there you go). If a song can make a person realise something by merely affirming a feeling that we have about ourselves or
Yet another MP3 Unsigned collaboration - they are at it like rabbits over there I tell ya! This time with Carol Sue Kirkpatrick and my old mate AndyF, who I have known for many years. I met Carol Sue just recently and if you are reading this on Soundclick then you will already know she's set up camp there too. You didn't know??! Well her page is here so why don't you go ove
Note to self: I must not get confused between Kirkpatrick (which is a fine old Scots/Irish name) and Fitzpatrick which is Norman, and as we Brits know they were not nice. Not nice at all, especially if you happened to be a king and were fond of your eyes. Now, if that little lot hasn't served to sow an inordinate amount of confusion in your mind, I am not the mind f*** I once was.
Well I sure know the invisibility effect, but I have a sneaking feeling that isn't what this MP3 Unsigned artist is singing about. A new name to my reviews from that site, I have been noticing how this lady has been recieved over there, and some of the comments made about her music but this is the first time I have had opportunity to do the same Carol is basically a songwriter, r
