The Circus is in Town
Wow..fantastic simphonic composition. Very atmospheric...i really enjoyed so much. Very nice work Darren
I'm totally in awe of this fantastic piece of music. The underlying pulse is reminiscent of John Adams. Great use of orchestration.
Yeah it is pretty hard to use...i just do the basics really :-) If i could afford it i'd get the Komplete 11 package it's expensive but a bargain really for what you get. Cheers.
Cool, cheers dude. Yeah I use Ni Action strings too but not been able to get results like this :)
Hi Ricky, thanks. I used a combination of libraries really.. Project sam Orchestral essentials, Action strings, Action strikes, Sonokinetic vivace and minimal, some tempo synced samples aswell. Some of the instruments are mixed straight out the box so to speak, but i put a bit of EQ on it too, i use LOGIC PRO X.
Not something I would listen to but the sound quality on this is amazing, What VSTS did you use for the Orchestra? and the EQing is amazing. Or is it samples? because that EQ is flawless. Like I said not something I would listen to but as a body of work, AMAZING!. Peace,Ricky
Thanks Terry, that was the idea I had actually, imagining what a child thought seeing the circus for the first time, being excited and scared. :-)
you grabbed a full-sounding expression of the excitement of the circus through the minds' eye of the anticipation and wonder of a child. Very well-developed orchestral muse, Darren. Grandiose in scope and vision. Enjoyed your circus...took me on a journey!
Thanks Keith :-)
Sounds fan-bloody-tastic through my phones...easy to imagine this one as a film soundtrack. A huge sound...Grand work...k
Thanks a lot Bob, appreciate that :-)
That's very kind of you to say Ray, but I'm not that good I don't think :-) it would be nice if possible..no more getting up early for work Lol. I'ts a good thing there's a lot of realistic music software about now. Thanks :-)
Wow! A wonderful piece of orchestral music, great composing, this is brilliant Darren.
I love the changes and the dynamics of the piece, great mix too.
Very much enjoyed!
Bloody hell, Darren this 'symphonic' creation is excellent! Very tasteful orchestration and I like that mood-change at around 1:50. Great use of your orchestral library, m8; well done. You should be doing these soundtracks for a living.
Thanks Tony and thanks David :-)
I can see parts of it where I could have improved it, may update it. I will have to check out 'Hall of the mountain king ', thanks.
You're singlehandedly deepening my appreciation for this genre:) Reminded of Edvard Grieg's "Hall of the Mountain King", this is excellent work.
sounds fantastic youv mixed it brilliantly i can just imagine this song playing in a movie...great stuff darren...........tonyc
Hi, thanks to all visiting my page.
I love to write/record my own music and songs. I like a wide range of musical styles and try not to limit myself to one style. If i get an idea in my head i have to try and get it down somehow, even if i make a pigs ear of it! :-)
A vast majority are instrumental or soundtrack type songs, but i do like to write non-instrumental 'normal' songs too, rock, pop, etc
I'd be interested in collaborations if anyone is interested!
Thanks for listening. Darren.
