Three Saints Riding
Man Ray even without music your lyrics are pure poetry. Lonely piano is so appropriate for a song like this.. Heartfelt and masterful lyric writing. I wanted to thank you for the amazing complement you gave me over on my page. Class all the way Ray :)
Beautifull introduction, love the piano, your vocals and the song is great!!! Amazing production too
I continue to be impressed by your songwriting Ray, beautiful lyrics tell a story that I become part of, melodies flow, instrumentation is always perfect, the mix spacious and production is crisp. Three Saints is another for my Brookes collection, thanks for sharing. Thumbs up
ah..a musical treatise on the 3 ladies Faith, Hope and Charity.....riding out of some desperate outback town...a familiar tale of towns shutting down...economic failure? hard times? feels like abandonment by the hope..tough times forces charity to flee, faith is the last...realism drives a stark message...told well with some sweet vocal trails to add to the pensive posture. Piano is heavy, perfect for the track...nice choice...enjoyed the muse...right to the perfect ending!
Excellent songwriting, damn fine performances too. Enjoyed several listens, savoring all these lines. Well done.
I can only agree with keith and Ron. You are one of, if not ,the best songwriter and musician on here. I love the way you write these lyrics and melodies Ray. Lovely piano skills. Loved it. :-)
Stock in trade for Ray. Wonderful emotive and melancholic song. Cool job mate.
One on a drunken mule eh? :-) Great story told with astute obtuseness...you don't half tell a bloody good tale! Absolutely lovely keywork on this-un Ray...brilliant in fact. . A true musical-magician you are. k
These days I spend most of my time in my own home studio writing songs ... some good, some bad and some downright ugly. The halcyon days of touring & performing are long gone but still fresh in my memory and I was fortunate enough to work with some great artistes over the years. A lot of them didn't know a semi-quaver from a semi-trailer but good musicians nonetheless.
For my writing platform I use Cubase along with East West Quantum Leap sounds. I use an 'L' Series Stratocaster and a Maton acoustic guitar, along with a Yamaha P-85 keyboard and Lee Oscar blues harps.
