IX. RockaRoma (Vespa Warriors)
Sniff...mmm, there's a whiff of somethin' wicked in the air, that rock aroma is so enticing! Back for a few more listens, this was one of my favorite stops on the journey.
I bet it was a task singing to the beat? its very scatty, those triplets on the hats are well done, sample or programed? Some nice guitar too :) really nice backing vocals :) good work guys, peace,Ricky BTW Rome is probably my fav city in the world :)
I love the tour, You guys rock, all the bits you scatter through this excites me, Love the whole thing.
I wish I had better speakers as I can tell there are many layers to this track.. I've missed a few on this tour so I'm a little lost but the song stands up on it's own. Some really nice lead work Keith. Terry I have to say that I think your production skill are getting better on every song. Progressive Rock? Great job guys
Jeez every one of these 'Italian' songs has been so different and unique. Great examples of creativity and tasteful production techniques. Brilliant work, guys.
yet again I really enjoyed this outing, the quality shines through. Encore Encore.
I thought the moustaches looked quite good! How is Terry driving with no hands? Lol..guess terry wont be drinking on this Italian holiday if he's driving then :-)
Thanks guys...Darren. It's me balancing on the wonky-wheel...Gibbo sat in the foot-well, in charge of the stabilisers ....and Terry got the comfy seat 'cos he's the oldest haha :-) PS...the moustaches are false...
Yeah, shame it has to end. I like the way it starts, just straight in there with that cool guitar riff. I can hear a 10 cc influence too. Especially the first half. Brilliant lyrics, guitars and vocals as usual, and really good drums and synths.
So Which sock puppet belongs to who? ;-)
Great job with those vocals! Edgy pop-rock accompaniment with a Terry twist works. Hate to see this tour coming to an end, it's been a blast fellows.
Like the grittiness of the vox (I would) Again sounds like City Boy/10 cc, Super work.
Always a treat to hear what you bring to an idea, Keith. The guitar ideas and bass move this well with timely and expressive phrases. Time to Run Away From Rome section moves with frenetic energy, but winds down almost in a lament for the conclusion of the tour. A wild ride from intro to ending. :)

The Kallen "Group" came to be in November of 2012 with their very first song "TRIbal Voices"
"TRIbal Voices" set the mold for many, many more collaborations. No easy task when separated by thousands of miles (and the chilly Atlantic Sea) The "3 Amigos" as they quickly came to be known, became very firm friends, sharing much of the same outlook on life, as well as sharing the occasional Graveyard shift and Digitalised tin of beans, (and Moosehead beer) ...they also shared their individual musical talents to produce a very strong and unique sound.
Terry-tronic...concocting the wacky compound of glue that sticks everything together.
Gibbo's-on-it...always the ultimate melodic voice of good reason
...and K-mad-pants-mic, that would-be-a-theatrical, cloth-capped-guy :-)
They quickly came to the notice of DJ Bob Fischer of BBC Radio Tees...and the Group would like to thank him for all the publicity, radio plays and interviews that they have enjoyed!
Where do they go from here? Fame fortune? Stadium tours? TV appearances? Any offers??? Someone??? Anyone??? :-)
Firstly let me state that this review is purely my opinion, which is subjective. I do not set out to ridicule or demean anyone, but intend to give a fair unbiased view. This will hopefully give the artist some food for thought for future recordings.
So on to the Track
How do you go about reviewing 3 very talented musicians that have come together to collab on tracks as a separate project to
