A Story
good made!!!! john samely
I usually try to avoid religious tunes, but when I do "rise above" (LOL!) my little phobia it is when I hear something that grabs me and makes me listen. On this track, it's the hope and desire that I hear in the vocals that sing these particular lyrics that make it more of a real song - as opposed to mindlessly singing praises - sorry if that offends anyone, but c'mon, there is a difference. Then, the instruments that come in toward the end are excellent.
this kind of track would fit some radios...well done...well produced and singed...instruments sound right there is just this hihat/shaker that is a maybe a bit the low point of your job..
This takes me to early Eagles/ George Harrison ... Excellent all around !!! Really mixes a few genres ...Pop...C&W...and RnR ...cant say i've heard it before...got a magical tone when you sing " my life"...!!! Well done !!!
Hi Gibbo what's happened to you, don't seem to hear a lot from you lately, hope everything is ok, everyone fit and healthy, and looking forward to Christmas, the thought of it sends shocks through the system, everything is so bloody expensive, oh well what can ya do, As i said, hope everyone is well, and not working to hard, Hows the music going, is everything on course for another album, i wish i had the motivation to sit and do something, but still cant summon up the interest, their must be an answer to all this crap, just has to be an end to it all, i would give anything just to get out and write a song, but i cant, Mind you believe it or not, last week i actually wrote three poems, but you would think, if i could do that, i would be able to write songs, Anyway my old mate, great to chat, will try and get back to you again before Christmas All the best, Kev
Missed this one while we were away Gibbo and what a treat.. Lovely country rhythm and super vocal to match with a hooky chorus. What more could we ask for...L&B
Hi mate, just cant stop listening to this track, in fact i wish i had written it, Have you been anywhere near Studyvox lately, i went on about a month ago to upload the new tracks, but you can imagine what the result was, what time i have to spend on the net, i think would be better spent elsewhere, sad really, cos i like the crowd up there, Its as if they just couldn't give a damn about us and our music, they had four weeks and even after two messages they couldn't be bothered to follow up the fact that my tracks had not uploaded, and i had sent them via the company i normally use, so i know they would have received them, Anyway mate, enough complaining, hope the Family are ok, much love to all, talk soon, KEV ARKADE MUSIC

Nice! Great country rock sound. A little 70's southern California sound. Really enjoyed, Great lyrics too!! Best, Eric
missed this (almost). great song with a sound from an earlier time....
Hey Gibbo, back for another listen...still an impressive piece, especially your lyric and vocal work! Just has a really smooth flow and satisfies! Excellent!
This is a BEAUTIFUL track Gibbo, I want this to go strait to No 1, it totally deserves it, terrific (in my view) Folk Rock songwriting and playing/recording at its most grooviest! Cheers Again, Andrew
An easy song to listen to... mighty fine songwriting & performance! =Bravo=
Back with some powerful folk music, reminds me of James Taylor and Peter, Paul & Mary. Relaxing and easy on the mind and ears, even seems to have some retro-microphone effects in here, I'm sure you did that on purpose. Some good old production techniques make this impossible to place in time, if you didn't know it was brand new music! Really great work here ATParadox, you can really crank out great tunes! Highly rated!
Very nice work. Some subtle strings that add to a superbly written track. Mucho easy listening. Better late than never eh ;) howd i miss this? lol...mal.
I´m rather unfamiliar with folk music, but this song is really uplifting. Great tune and positive vibes.
Commercial but not a rip-off of anything I've heard. Would sit perfectly on plenty of top albums in many folks record collections. A good song dudes and a believable lyric and vocal. On laptop but sounds cool.
Nice energy here. It feels like a mix of Neil Diamond/Bob Dylan vibe. Very poppy. I can hear this in a movie where there is a happy scene where everyone is smiling and having a good time. Nice work mate!
sounds very good...style is not very original but it totally works...singer is good...instrumental too...this would be the perfect music to cast on the radio...really well produced and formated...just a very good song...you got my vote !
Just superb! Real uplifting song. Love the melody. Gets my vote, thank you for the listen!
lovely melodic track, always right up my street :)
cool stuff!
Very catchy melody and a good structure. Well produced, I liked the rich strings in particular and the percussion which could be monotonous is actually featherlight and uplifting. Great track.
I'm a sucker for the country rock sound so you get a thumbs up from me. Great quality ;)
nice track makes me feel relaxed could let this track play all day , great melody to, thanks for sharing, rated.
This is what I like,Thanks
'Real music' here, very nice & melodic track & nice vocal performance, easy to listen to, keep it up!
It sounds familiar but who cares? Doesn't take away from the fact that it's a good sounding song! I enjoyed it and that's all that matters! -Mike
Hey Gibbo, Dave Rave nailed it! Oh I hear influences but who isn't influenced but others who came before? Got to say I am loving the sound as I write. Just flipping wonderful work Dude! Thumbs!
Like this song! Nice production, perfectly fits the song! Great melody and vocal delivery too! Very catchy! Nice job. Thumbs up.
Yes...you asked if the song sounds like someone and it does....some bloke called Gibbo!!! LOL. Very enjoyable track AND (always important to me) a damn fine tune.
Folkrock used to be one word. This has the elements of why that was. Still is for me. Nice gentle approach with an appealing hook all through.
Thanks all for the comments, remastered and a little more EQ at bottom, re Mikes comment. Plays better, still two dropouts at the intro but not nearly so bad. Will look into contacting support page James.
Hey ATP - took the download - there is a support page on the forum and an mp3u facebook page where you could log the upload problem you seem to be facing. This didnt sound like anything else to me. A well crafted song with a strong melody and a very commercial sound. I always enjoy every song you produce - your work has an instant appeal to me. Classy pop songs - nicely performed and realized. Thumbs. James
Yes! A great country rock infused gem of a track here, I love the vocals, and that wonderful jangling guitar! Great track, easy vote! Cheers, Andrew
Yeah, this is just a cool tune! Shades of Dylan/Petty and I love that kind of sound! Constructively, I think you need to EQ more bottom end into this which would give it more depth and make this real cool song much more filling than it already is! I dig this! -Mike
The title caught my eye, the song grabbed me from the opening bars...smart lyrics, tight performances and production's not bad at all in spite of the few glitches heard here. Well done! Great song, and as already mentioned, certainly has "commercial appeal", thanks for posting. Thumbs up!
Getting a country feel from this. Something I don't really listen or know much about. A good song ! Good vocal too. Thank you for the comment on my new track. Thanks. Mani
Great tune, really nice harmonies. Guitar coming around 3.25 sounds great. Thumbs
Loving a bit of country on a Tuesday afternoon from Tuesday Paradox . A very enjoyable listen, It does have a very commercial sound so maybe that's why you think you've heard it before. Ace! Love Wednesday x
the way you work with the vocals well done (sorry my bad english
wat a great song man....5 stars.rated
Yeah, this is another great tune from ATP. Love your way with crafting these tunes you bring to us. Liked the placement/timbre of the lead vocals (Kevin?) Harmonies are sweet....liked the little lift in verse 2...Nice organ coming in ...steady bass and drums (nice chugging) anchor the story...Well Done!! Let me hold up my lighter to this folk anthem ;) Lead guitar at the ending reminded me of a bagpipe (accordion would be nice in there too) Super!! Thumbs!
The imperfections you hear on this song are NOT on the download. Please take one, then you can hear only the imperfections we created all by ourselves.
Cure-ish, Floyd-ish and something else here that you bring to the table..gentle with a pinch of sadness and a latent strength all hidden just beneath the surface that glides and glistens between my ears. Absolutely lovely.
