Someone commented that this was a unique song.. and it certainly does have a unique quality.. I guess we could always hear influences and similarities to other artists somewhere in all of our music if we search hard enough.. but I do love the originality and quirkiness of this.. I haven't heard much of your music, (as you know I have been away for a while).. but I am certainly gonna listen to a lot more.. Love it.. big thumbs up from me.

When I first started this music thing it never occured to me that it was more than simply melody and rhythm. In recent years I have given almost as much consideration to the story and the inspiration as I have to to the notes and it makes a difference. Sorry for that preamble just wanted to say I get where this track comes from and it makes it all the more of an interesting listen. Great to hear the cello dusted down and back in the game and as a fellow proud Dad I`m moved by the lyrics as much the instumentation. Perhaps one day I`ll capture what they mean to me in melody but for now I`ll bask in the glow of yours :) Great work as always Terry Ant

Yes, quirky was the first thing that sprung to mind, a bit like frank sinatra, this just sprung to mind as soon as I heard the track, nice work, enjoyed this relaxing piece:)
What an inspirational story there is behind this song. Brilliant stuff and I like the "Oh well" answer you give in the music and lyrics. A really cool reminder of how silly I am in getting into a huff about nothing.
Lovely quirky song and a great, great concept.Nothing is more important than actually being on this earth and have the senses to take it in and appreciate the amount of beauty in nature... My younger brother had a progressive neurological disorder and gradually lost his bodily functions and abilities to voluntarily move his limbs. He died four years ago and never once did i hear him say 'Why me?'. It, along with other events have reinforced this message that you portray... brilliant.

The 'interesting' percussion in this track might seem a little strange to some listeners, but I was lucky enough to read your explanation of the song under Artist Comments before playing the song, and the drums made perfect sense. They sounded to me like the first, full and heavy, raindrops beginning to fall before a downpour, and I could picture you at the end of the song explanation standing in your garden looking up incredulously, yet beginning to smile broadly. In fact, your song description was so vivid that after this foreshadowing intro, I was able to visualise the entire music video in my head as I listened, culminating in the same rainfall scene. That's the kind of video I haven't seen since Travis stopped making videos (or at least since I stopped seeing them, around 10 years ago). Too much prattle from me sir - it goes without saying; Rated with a capital R!

Enjoyed reading about the inspiration behind the writing of the track on your artist comment - it also explained the "dolls dressed up" line ( i was concerned this was a fetish you hadn't told me about - ha ha - or should that be LMAO - a popular expression these days). All the Wigmore traits that define your work but a simplistic arrangement that really suits you and this song. Fine work my friend. Thumbs. James

i cannot exprex myself very well in english, nor i have the knowledge in music that others have ( i compose with my intuition) so, wat i realy ant to say about this music is that IS EXCELENT YOU HAVE LOTS OF CREATIVITY, i love the celo,or violin...the vocals, the drums , is like jazz drums , i like that...you have the creativity of the 70 s progressive rock bands...you for me are a star.rated
Throwing your hands up and giving in. Sometimes..yeah sometimes you're looking down and instead of hanging your head you see a flower in the crack of a sidewalk or a shinny coin in the dirt or someone comes along and makes you laugh and for a moment, life is good. Isn't that what it's all about. Those moments of joy amidst chaos of the ordinary going awry.
Reading the story on how you came about making this tune is all I needed - i was hooked at the start. I had an evening like that once - right after work one evening, I was taking one of the kids home, along with my 2 nieces only to find that my car wouldn't start. I called the auto club for a jump start, took the kid home. As we arrived at the kid's house, I somehow got a flat! I noticed my spare was also flat. Called the auto club again, they pumped up my spare and the dude was about to change the tire when he broke off one of the lug nuts. NOW he had to send for another truck to take me to the tire shop so they could fix that problem, I got there right after they closed for the evening. My girlfriend came and picked us up to take us home. I never felt so good walking through that the front door as I did that night! LMAO!!!

Joined this community of artists in July of 2011, and quickly observed the community-spirit of artists who take the time to listen to other artists' work and comment meaningfully and positively. The vibe is one of encouragement and helping out.
This was quickly expressed more tangibly in the number of collaborations that were being uploaded and that caught my attention. People were willing to offer skills and abilities, knowledge and understanding, and check their egos at the door and be willing to engage the difficult task of trying to work together for a common good - a better track. THIS has been an education for me and the learning that occurs as a result of working together is extraordinary.
Special mentions to those who have included me in their work, and they in mine: James Bell - not only got the ball rolling but is a kindred spirit; Dachleigh Music (Adam) - who used my cello lines in a some electronic music; Deggsy Music and DawnSinclair - the two are not always inseparable but they work so well together (that RnB will be a highlight!); Deon - we didn't do a lot together, but the journey was expansive; Rich Lodato, whose voice and guitar invites the cello to weave a melody too; AmorfoxiZ (Alfonso,) more cello; Left Ear Bleed (Jeff)...always good to help younger artists; Liquid (Anthony Gee) the budding rock keyboardist ;) and Michael Ritchie - consummate riff-meister and gentle spirit...thanks to one and all for including me in their journeys! FUN!...gotta be more fun than work or it isn't fun any more ;) Special mention to TomC in PC FL, for sharing his journey and struggles. Hang in there Tom!
Also a note of GRATITUDE...that is the theme for my class of students. A number of artists from mp3u have contributed messages addressed to my class, and some have written wonderful tracks to help us find a calm and gentle start to our days of turbulence. Dan Michaelson, Peter Vines...great ambient tracks and such wonderful messages - you two were the first off the mark and set the bar very high for how to approach a class that you didn't really know; Will Riding...the Sleeping Giants was an awesome introduction to story-telling through music; Erik Jurado...straight from you heart to right where my kids are...amazing intuition; Kelly Mitchell...your artist comment narrative was inspirational on over-coming obstacles; Mike Ritchie - one boy has become filled with hope because of a specific word of encouragement...how incredibly awesome! ; Deon -many positive messages and ideas about life and existence, as well as ways to find calm in the midst of Life - looking forward tomore of your special way of looking at life; Rich - sent along some A/V material...journey into visual art...chalked full of encouraging words... some fine vocal/visual/philosphical chicken soup for the teen-aged soul, I think; Liquid (Anthony Gee), who has created some fine music for the class and sent a wonderful interview for the class to listen to. We are also enjoying some wonderful orchestral arrangements from AndyF (Andrew Foyston), and a superbly written note to the students.
In 2013 we heard from KtA (Marty Etheridge) - the students love the DnB stuff; ATuesdayParadox (Kevin Gibbons) - a very encouraging message and pics pf Wales; Lazy Jane (Will Walton) sent along well-wishes from Georgia, DNA Codex (Andrew Shields)- not only introduced us to Surrealism, he showed us how to paint in a surealistic style with some extraordinary youtube clips with his wonderful ambient/electronica in the background; Essence - little did I know that in trying to find female artists to represent more gender equity, you would step in and tell a heart-changing story that resonated in all of us, and in one young woman in particular - you cast the seeds and often never know what good will result, so we trust and carry on; Keith Allen and Wednesday Wilson are also going to contribute their own stories and words of encouragement. In all of these personal touches and positive interactions there will be Wellness!

**My creative space -a.k.a. "hobbit hole studio" - is a cinder block fruit cellar, 6x9, with a 6in poured concrete slab ceiling…nice reflective surfaces for some interesting vocals if they are not tamed..the furnace is old and loud and is adjacent, and the main waste pipe from the second floor passes through the “studio” so I have to record before the household awakes or after they are asleep because a single toilet flush can “wh- o-o-o-s-s-h-h-“ through a track like a roar of a jet engine, giving new meaning to the phrase I have come to accept as part of my Buddhist experience - “Flushed Away!”
