Folk the lot of yer (WIP)
Hi Guys, Love the title and the repeated use in the comments!! Quality vocals and harmonies bring this lovely melody together. Subtle piano added to the lovely guitar.
Excellent work as always
Yeah, this is really nice and deservers the little bit more effort that would make it perfect. Excellent ideas though and not at all bad as it is, vocal sound is so good. Thumbs up, Gibbo
Well folk my old boots! This is folking excellent. Great characterful, laconic, world-weary vocal. If Morrissey could sing this is what he'd sound like! Lovely change at 0.52. Given this is WIP - could do with a solo something or other (how about a gentle Miles-ish trumpet) at 1.42-ish just for a couple of bars as a sub-bridge? Acoustic solo at 2.20-odd could be higher in the mix, panned centrally and a bit less trebly/wasp-in-a-bottle. Start the fade-out at about 3.34 - it goes on a bit, and you want to leave the punters wanting more. Otherwise - I'm well past folking impressed.
you guys make a fine duo...a gentle musing....liked that snappy perc entry and with the bass...smoooooth...gorgeous with the strings and piano..liked the upfront vocals...nice guitar in there too....the chords were jazzy and delicious...thanks for posting them...know the feeling of just getting so far and want closure on a tune....glad you tied it up and uploaded. Nice to hear a new one from the Nerks! :)
Really nice song, sounds like a classic to me, the Fabs are all over this one!
yeah strangely captivating down to some interesting chord changes with major to minor. The choir type vox and strings add a bit of ambient magic too....a cool listen guys cheers!
Sounds like the lullaby me mum used to hum to put me to sleep...yeah, she was a motherfolker. Thanks for the mammaries, sniff sniff. Dark, just this side of dreary chord prog and melody, arrangement keeps things interesting, but I can hear why you're calling this a "wip", it needs somethin' guys. Likin' what I hear so far....rated
This song just floats by so effortlessly that it seem it could go on forever and I'd listen for a long time. I love the strings and guitar. Your vocal harmonies are so nice and melodic. Great song.
Sounds pretty good just as it is. Well done guys
Better than rough and raw and the strings were folking divine ya northern scum LOL. I think the vocals were good generally but because they are so exposed a couple of little "nuances" were heard. That's a euphemism just to show that I can be mellower with some of my remarks. Interesting changes on the B chord; minor then major - nearly missed that subtlety then that Emaj7 a bit later on. Not easy to keep vocals exact when the chord changes are this subtle. Nice break about 2min20 thru to 2min50. Shit just looked at the lyric and you got the chords written down - now i look like a ... hehe! I think the song lost it's way a bit in the last half - kind of felt you were just repeating for the sake of it. Good work all the same so thumzup.
Sounds alright to me.
