Follow Me (New Vocal Mix)
An excellent foray into the house genre. Cool and stylish backing, lifted beautifully by a great vocal performance. It would be really nice to hear the original vocal mix for comparison.
You guys are awesome defintely that true house music. Keep up the good work hope to have a chance to see you live and i look forward to it
Great collab! Not my usual genre either but very well done! Really cool vocal delivery on this one. The groove on this is very infectious, especially around 1:30 when it really kicks in. Nice job! Thumbs
Thanks everyone for your votes on this one. I wasn't sure about this genre but am encouraged by your support. Thanks for the opportunity Ricky. Keep the faith. Love Wednesday x
Congratulations on reaching No 1 Wednesday and Ricky. Great track. James
im not really a pop person but you do this stuff so well and i did enjoy it vocals sound great well done voted
Really Like your Vocal on this Track. Nice Collaboration 5* . Johnny O
Jenny - What I meant by my comments was... I didn't spend alot of time on this track...like I would do something I plan to release or get signed... it was just abit of fun... nothing serious... Even my backing track.. it was always just abit of fun... Wednesday as done a good job for what it is... Just wasn't something I was going to slave over to get release ready... it's good to do something just for fun sometimes.
I really enjoyed the track. The mix of classic house and the kind of retro style of Wednesday's vocals combine surprisingly well. Original and cool.
I dont hear a problem with the vocal mix. It reminded me of "I feel love" (not as iconic as that song though). The electronic instrumentation is prominent with the vocals centrally panned and lower in the mix (just like the Donna Summer track) .Got the impression from Ricky's comment that he was trying to disassociate himself from this track. Well maybe if he had worked on it then the potential of the song would have been fully realized. This has a good melody and a decent vocal and works really well as a dance track in my opinion. It sure seems popular votes wise and there are many favorable comments. It is an interesting mix of styles but reading between the lines i do get the impression that one half of the collaboration felt the other half was uncool and seemed to almost feel the need to apologize for their involvement. Well i for one hope it hits the top spot next week as i think this is an excellent piece of work. Well done Wednesday for bringing something unique to Ricky's backing track. If he doesn't appreciate your talent then take heart in the knowledge that i and many other mp3unsigned users do. Enjoyed.
NO offence taken, Eric.... I'll be totally honest... I didn't really work much on this track... I just let wednesday have some fun.. I think this mix is wednesdays vocal mix... I think she did an OK job... Hope wednesday doesn't take offence but I didn't really enjoy this track... The vocal style was hard for me to work with...that's my issue not wednesday... Like I said I let her have fun with it... Had quite a few dls and rates so I'm guessing some people enjoyed it?
Retro and chic. Thanks for the comment on my new track. Thanks. Mani
Very cool indeed. Ricky as always big thumb from me! Not to offend because I really dig this tune but I'm not sure that the vocal is sitting quite right in the mix? I know it's hard to lay a vocal track over something that has already been mixed. It seems maybe just a bit "thin". No matter very cool tune and cheers to you both! Eric
My favourite to date. Your vocals suit this style.Loving the musical arrangement.keep em coming Wednesday.Rated Paul.
Wednesday's in da House :-) Excellent collaboration by two of my favourite artists on this site. Thumping beats, a funky groove and a catchy euro pop sounding synth hook from Ricky working in tandem with the deliciously cute vocals and ear catching melody from Ms. Wilson.Cool and quirky lyrics too (please post them). Thumbs. James
Great song guys. hope you guys do more collabs.....
I've thought on more than one occasion that your voice has a Sarah Cracknell type sound, not sounds"like" but that style and this dance tune really works well with your vocal. Enjoyed and rated. Gibbo
Huge fan of your vocals, and Ricky's work...hope this is but the first of many collabs from the two of ya. Ready for more! Keep 'em coming....:)
A totally great song, and experience Wednesday, beautiful singing and totally enjoyable IDM workout, love those beats and synth/s! Cheers, Andrew
A vote without a comment is just wrong, lazy and would leave me feeling cheated.. This tune is worth sooooooo much more.
Very cool! I almost had to dig out the strobe lights for this one. Love the beat, the structure and your soft vocal fits right in like a piece of the musical puzzle that this forms. I love to dance and this track gets me there. Great job and an easy vote. Always keep the faith!
Something about this type of music and a female singing that go excellent together. This sounds cool! It's great that you are expanding your sound with these collaborations. I dig those keys on this tune. You sing great on this, I would follow you!
Ricky has a way with beats and electronica, and that is always a good platform to start from. Great job Ricky! Love that you are going into other genres, Wednesday...that is exactly how we grow and become...:) Liked the opening "Follow Me" (46s)...the second one seemed to come in a bit too hot or dry for my ears (1 m or so) . After that, the song carried along well after that and moved to a sweet groove. Harmonies were solid. Got what Rich said, "hypnotic!" quality ;) For me, it is the big picture, not the details, that gives me the impression of a great collab, and that carries the day! Looking forward to another! FUN to be so creative! Thumbs!
Rick can turn out the music, thats all cool... Its a genre that to be honest goes over my head in terms of tech stuff and know how. The music as Rich states is Hypnotic and modern.... Melody of vox is good, tone feels wrong though (no offence) im just saying it as it sounds, first listen and all that.. Its like the voice needs a key change... Cheers for sharing. All the best!
Hypnotic.
