The Wrongstars - Caveman on acid
yeah, that caveman sure has his tongue delivering some grunts and groans with speed and pitch other than the usual lower slower stuff of the old sci-fi flicks :) I guess chemicals might affect the Neanderthal mind the same way it does kids today....quite funny at times (though the sad thought began forming as I listened.."Hey...that's what some kids at school sound like when they come to class..." funny, but with a sad ironic twist subliminally implanted)
Brothers Luke and Joe write most of the lyrics which can be very political, they are not scared to voice there opinions through music and genuinely don’t care who they upset, if it needs to be said then it will be!!, in general the lyrics are more about every day life and creating comedy into situations that arise and of co..., tributes to the friends and family who are no longer with us. Brothers David and James write and produce the songs, they love nothing more than a bassline drop that just shudders all the way through your body and can deform your face if your to near the speakers, from an early age they were producing and its true to say they can put there skills to most genres, this is evident on the debut album Beats Rhymes and Conflicts, although categorised as breakbeat when you go through the album you soon realise that you cant categorise many of the tracks and indeed probably would have to invent a new genre. The Wrongstars play out as a four piece DJ/MC group, playing breaks, hip hop, rnb, ukg.
