I really enjoyed reading the story behind the lyrics on this. Great lyrics! Vocally, this is a tamed song for you, considering the lyrics, it's the proper choice! The music has a tropical feel to my ears - very cool!!! I really like the way you sing this - it almost feels like you are lost even though the lyrics seem to project that you know exactly what you are talking about.
Nice mellow track and emotional vocal. It's got a good vibe too. Definitely you seem to producing a better sound David. Some vocal lines get a bit drowned - hey it's never all good news lol. Ya got some good vocal variations on this dude and Mike's guitar (and yours) blend together nicely. Yup good tunage, thumzup and there's a PM waiting for ya!!!
Ah, a woman or the divine? Tough choice sometimes ;) (I think you may know Samson's (biblical narrative) dilemma ;) Funny how putting words down in notes and looking back at them through the passage of time offers a fresh spin on old themes. Story-telling vocals..you always deliver the ideas in a way that takes advantage of your wispy, edgy textures. Michael's guitar work adds some magic, but your parts hold up too...even the cap'n....punchy percs ;) Well done! yeah, first takes...may be rough around the edges, but often they have your fisrt intuitive response to the words and music...well worth capturing ! Thumbs!

Wasn't sure about this from the intro, with that drum machine start, but it worked realy well in the track. It's got that country vibe that most enjoyable to listen to. You got a cool voice and i like they guitar delay. Nice one! Rated.

First takes are normally the best and most in the zone as it's that fresh bite into the tune that holds on along with the original inspiration this came from making it all gel all the better. You can hear the mojo. Love that delayed guitar floating in the back from side to side pan.
Hi DJC - your tracks wouldnt be the same without the cap'n dictating the rhythm. Hope he is a permanent fixture. Some lovely bluesy guitar to be heard throughout - nicely played Michael. Your vocals bring the character to the recording - laid back for the most part but pushing them when required to add a bit of edginess. Well written lyrics too. Thumbs. James
