Will You Remember Me
Just seeing what we´ve missed and this is a fantastic song. Full of class class and although the subject matter is sad the backing just lifts it up with that synth riff. You have an instantly recognizable voice and its great. Love this song...and such a well deserved number one guys..
Many others have already mentioned the eighties vibe, vocally this reminds me a little of New Order. It's a really catchy song. Deggsy's music sounds great. The only crit I can give is on mix. Generally its mixed quite well but the lead vocal has been recorded quietly and mixed very loud which sounds a little strange and out of place here and there. Also the low mids in the vox are making it sound nasally, this could be fixed with an EQ cut on certain frequencies and would brighten up the sound of the vox. Backing vox sound fine. Anyway this minor point aside this is still an excellent track and kudos for the lyrics, making a love song out of Alzheimers. Rated, Craig.
Have not been on in a while. Had to check out your latest offer. Very nice track indeed. Very pop with that 80's feel, but also a modern touch as well. The synth sounds great along with the guitar. Love the lyrics and the story the tell of something so horrible for someone. To forget a loved one is a tragedy for everyone involved. Great job on this one, and an easy vote from us. We'll try to be on here more often coming up. Keep the faith!
So smooth, easy to listen too. Production crisp and has nice balance between vocals and instrumental sections.. Rated
I like this song~ it's smooth, and catchy... so much- so, I might be humming the chorus later. But for me, it is the lyrics that speak volumes. I think everyone, in some way, wants to be remembered, and my gosh, memory is so very precious, To be able to remember is a gift. You see, my mother had dimentia/alzheimer's disease... so in many ways, I know how our memories are so precious. I have to say, this tune really hit home. Bless you, and Bravo to you for this song... it's golden.
Thats funny, i thought i had left a comment before. Wont let me vote again lol.
Great track guys, Long live theighties! Rightfully deserved of a number 1 place. Superb. Rated. Mal.
This is classy pop music and has been stated before this evokes the very best music that came out of the eighties. Love the synth riff that works its way through the track. The melody is top notch and the subject matter is thought provoking and moving. Excellent vocal too. Wait For Stars have been going from strength to strength with Deggsy's superbly realised arrangements. One of the best tracks i have heard on Mp3u this year. Sorry i'm late getting to this. Fantastic collaboration.
Better late than never. Really does have an 80's vibe, vocally and with that big snare. Very catchy synth riffs and Degg's production makes for a ear-pleasing listen.
Can't comment on the lyric dudes but the song has a great vibe and the vocals are nicely balanced with deggsy's music. Sorry for arriving so late to the gig. Thumzup
Great stuff!
Really enjoyed this track guys. Instumentation is fantastic and the vox really suit this cool 80's style song. Deserved #1 I think...
Well done guys, great collaboration. Degs another great tune and great vox and songwriting. SWEET!
I feel like I am having an 80's throwback tonight! This reminds me of the Pet Shop Boys! Great track! Deserves the No 1 spot!
This is a really cool track! I really like the mellow type of intro. Has some really good vocals and lyrics to go with them. Great job :)
Lovely track boys!, really like the feel and mood off it. Very catchy thumbs indeed :>)
#1 !!!! We did it Deggs!!! Thanks so much to all who voted and supported us!!!!! Thanks to Deggs for such a great collab!!!!
I really like the beginning of this song. The vocals remind me of some stuff I've heard by the Chemical Brothers. This is a very nice song and has lots of depth and layers to it. Very well done, I will definitely vote for this, thanks for sharing it.
'Will You Remember Me' is fab, very nicely performed vocally & the tune is fantastic, well done 'Wait For The Stars' & Deggsy!
Hey WFS, very slick opening and then I saw "another collab with Deggsy" of course! I like Rich's comment about Pet Shop Boys, I hear it too! Very cool lyric and nice vocal to boot. Nice one guys..take a couple of thumbs from me and pass them around!
I've never heard a song about this terrible disease before, but why shouldn't there be one, or even more? Its got the right feel, not outright dark and gloomy but done with some love in there. Being an EDM fan I love Deggsys synths. Good lyrics that are delivered with conviction. Thanks for sharing.
I hear the pet shop boys here and I love it! Production values make this right on the ears and puts the final stamp on the right vibe.
Excellent track guys. Tough subject but you have pulled it off. Great track. Take Care Andy :)
Music is lovely, love all the extra touches Degsy....lyric is excellent but when you get to my age, it is rather scary...my mum died of Altzeimer's....however, Terry, I think it's so very brave for a song and you sing it perfectly. OK got tears running down my face...hope you're satisfied. Top marks my darlings!!
This is just awesome, touching lyrics and a brilliant production. Vocal is perfect. Thank you for the download. Gibbo
Definitely an eighties vibe and I love the intro riff. Also an unusual but poignant treatment of a subject which touches so many people. Very much enjoyed. Love Wednesday x
Beautiful 80's feel and an excellent collaboration all round. The music is perfect and the vocals are top class. Kudos guys.
It sounds 80's...and Ilike it. Love the bass line. Great work
nice track done very well.. east to flow with it..
Hey guys, great work. A slick production and thats a fact! The track has a nice flow and some well chosen sounds. Vocals deliver the words effortlessly. A vote for you guys! Cheers, Mal.
A very cool 80's vibe song to my ears. Great collab tween you and the Degsman. Production is spot on. Your vocals sometimes remind me of Al Stewart. That's a good thing to me anyway....thanks for the dl.....
a good song that makes me think of my aunt who died from it and a uncle who is suffering from it i enjoyed listening great vocals and production sounds really good and i know only to well what this illness does to people
a profound exploration of dementia/ Alzheimer's... memory/history....somehow these things define us and without them to mark our past, we lose the present, and go with uncertainty in to the future The backing track is haunting and spacious and lends itself well to the lyrics. The opening pan was a great idea...Harmony vocals were nice. The vocals seemed a little too subdued, but perhaps that is the way to interpret the topic. Nice expression and a little echo on the "If I could find a way " at 2m. Deggs has some nice little melodic echos in the backing instrumentation (echos of the vocal melody). 2:50..nice take back and swooshing build. A difficult topic, well-served by this exploration. Well done guys! Thumbs!
I like your vocals and the music is beautifull, rated
