When You Need A Friend (with Michael Ritchie)
Cool dudes, cool song, cool playing.
a great guitar tune thats right up my street, love it, well done man
Erik, every time I come over to listen to this I realize more and more what an outstanding job you did with this song! Just dig your guitar sound! -Mike
Have you been eating gravel for breakfast? Love the manic guitar so much. Rockin it up this Friday night. Love Wednesday x
Very Raw sound :) Vocally still remind me of Lenny kravitz :) With a touch of Cheech and Chong LOL I think they are more because it sounds like you are having fun with what you are doing. Nice ending with the acapella :) Raw and edgy. Peace,Ricky
How did you get a friend...dressed in your bear paws? LMAO! Mike didn't mind, I guess, but how did you play guitar with those things on? :D Lyrics come like a flood when the music moves you! A sure sign of connecting! Good for you, Erik...and Mike's signature riffs...then that dirty little lead you snuck in there...couldn't resist? LOL! Well done guys!
This jumps out n bites ya ...A laid back pop snake ...I smile as Erik's signature Vox seems to always move moutains ... Great track to begin with (Michael ) great combo of gtr tones n riffs...tad o jazz..then rocks ya like a wall falling on you..thus the bite ...Great track n collab !!!!!!
Great collab Erik and Mike, this is one powerful beast. Excellent, easy rate. Gibbo
This track is a Jack, straight "Out Of The Box" dude!!!! It is an attention grabber mate!!! Those axes are sharp bud!!! Baz
Hey guys thanks,total enjoyment
Excellent work guys. A blend made in heaven. Well done to both. Andy:)
Amazed by this collab as you have managed to blend 2 guitarists styles into one track and pull it off!!! Love the message and delivery of the lyrics. Bravo and an easy thumbs!!
cool Track Guys , great coming together of two of this site coolest guitar rockers. Nice vocal and arrangements. Good work guys.
What a great song Erik/Michael, I love it right form the first drum beat, and then the guitar/s! Wow! I love songs that have strong message, meaning, and this has one, a powerful one, done with your wonderful soul inflected vocals! Super rated, and easy vote and D.L! Cheers, Andrew
Great collab guys. I'm so glad you two are working together. I like the balances of the guitars just push that upper midrange eq on the entire mix and that should clear things up a bit. But if ya don't, I still love this big time. I just lift the mids myself.
Cool track guys! Very likeable raw rock/blues energy to this one. Great guitar licks as always from Mike! I would have dug a harder drum part but that's just personal preference. Nice job. Thumbs
I really like this. Has a bit of a RHCP feel to me. Only crit would be maybe Michael's guitar is mixed a bit loud during the verses and distracts from the vox a bit. Nice work from both of you, good collab. Rated, Craig.
Erik, sounds good but needs more time spent on the mix. Also, there's too much verb on the whole which muddies the brightness and dulls the the contrast of the individual tracks. Other than that, I like what you've done with it brother! -Mike
WOW!!! Two of the best rockers ever get their guitars jumpin'. In a jam?? Guys.. I think you were! Magnificent!! Yup...Im liking it! keith
For some reason I can't get this track to play. Will try later on me proper computer.
If you're here to complain about any of my long-ass comments or about anything that I posted in the forum, or even songs that I have uploaded for the 50th time - WELCOME!All of my songs are works in progress - mostly because I am still trying to get better in the vocals department, but also because once I get a new drum set EVERY track I have drums on will be re-recorded! And, I only re-upload songs because they are the latest version of that song. I am constantly re-mixing and re-recording this stuff.on a personal note...I have some good news to share - someone who had been unemployed for almost 3 whole years has finally got a job.
