Mark Etherton's Nchanted is entirely original and revolves around the highly versatile and beautiful sound of the classical spanish guitar. Mark's melodic approach mixes colourful melody lines with a percussive feel infusing a wonderful taste of Southern Spain with passion and energy. Nchanted is Mark's first Spanish style album and was completed in September 2003. The Nchanted band is led by Mark, with additional artists including Russell Jarret, Patrick Murphy, Simon Cohen, Steve Byrd, Larry Fifield and Steve Hall. They perform as a guitar duo or trio, or for larger events with additional bass and percusion. The set includes music from Nchanted, and from the upcoming second album which is to be named and about to be recorded. Mark Etherton is a highly versatile guitarist who has always had a wide variety of musical influences ranging from classical, jazz, latin and flamenco - through to the highly energetic neo-classical rock.
