I wrote this song as a tribute to a womans love, but even that can be tested and defeated by alcoholism. I want to thank Laurel Varner and Mississippi Spud (Vic) for helping me add the music to my childhood thought. The man portayed in this song is still living somewhere in Maryland. The last time I heard he had started to drink heavy again.....
