55 STITCHES is a Nu-Metal/Industrial band, based out of Toronto, Ontario (Canada). Fans of the band describe the music as heavy and very dark, combining the influences of Marilyn Manson, NiN, Rammstein and Rob Zombie.

Jason Bernath is the founder/creator behind the project, and with 17 years of musical experience, 55 STITCHES has a clear direction and musical vision. Being the frontman onstage, Jason is also responsible for the band's debut indie CD release, "It's Your Funeral". He wrote and produced the entire CD from his studio.

Jason writes:
"55 STITCHES was born from a very dark period of my life back in 2003. My life fell to pieces, and I was left with nothing but rage and anger, eating away at my insides. I've always wanted to channel my experiences into music, and this band has given me that opportunity. It's been a long time coming..."

"I am excited to share my life and my experiences with our fans. 55 STITCHES is my own version of twisted psychotherapy. We're here to cast a spotlight on all those feelings and emotions that everyone hides, and that we're afraid to speak about, but that cross our minds every day..."

"We're gonna breed and bleed, on negativity we'll feed. Dysfunction is all we need."

In early 2006, 55 STITCHES is currently gearing up to support their debut CD, and getting road-ready to play gigs across Southern Ontario.
