Hi my name is Darius Coleman and I wanted to take an opportunity to introduce myself and encourage you to take a listen to my music on my page. I would appreciate if you left a comment!! Thanx
very well done, cool beats and lyrics, enjoyed the listen, ratings...
Hi Ben. Top production Like the sounds and beats. sounds good to me-- not my genre of expertise - so can't do the technical critique. But its fine. Cheers Rogue rated for production.
Well Ben im not ive acyually listened to any of your tracks yet but im liking what im hearing so far! Got to say i dont lkisten to much hiphop/rap so i know very little. I will say however that backing track is really well put together piece. Nice piano part with some nice and crunchy beats not to mention those nice ass strings! Ok id say the best part of this track would be the rcording quality on the vocals and the lyrics. Thats not taking away from the quality of teh track because the backing track is really and very well produced but i really like the vocals! I also like teh gated string but it seems a little too oud in the mix, just my opion as because i know feck all about hiphop/rap its more than likly ok! lol Anyways Ben great track, great vocals and great production! What else can one ask for (In my best Queen Elizabeth voice Hahah) in a track?! Best of luck with it bud! Marty
great rap mate, really tight, and like minus13 I think the beat is class. I really like the piano too, but i think the reverb could maybe be a little wetter. Still, a class track mate!
I really like it mate a real different concept the lyrics are tight i've always thought you had good lyrical skill, the beat is wicked, well done for this one mate.
Yeah. Long time since you posted a track wasn't it ! I like your voice. Backing track letting it down a bit i.m.o. Vox are recorded and produced nicely ! Great work !
Give it a few years this genre will be dead, ELECTRONICA is taking over more Goths grow less Ghetto kings and queens rise!! Although the song is great!! I am a rap lover so keep it up don't think I hate your song it's good but this genre is dead for the UK scene listen to Westwood? Take advice...
Everything is sounding very well produced. Crystal clear lyrically. I like the accent I'm hearing in your vocals. A fine creation very well done! :)
Really good! .......
I don't really want to be known as a rapper due to the presumptions and associations made by a lot of people in regards to any individual operating within the HipHop genre. When people hear the word 'Rap' they think things like drugs, guns, bling, violence, and swearing. I don't want to be affiliated with any of that; the scene has evolved, leaving behind a trail of clichéd and stereotypical gangster rappers that aren't actually saying anything with their lyrics. Too many people these days think that if you want to be a part of the HipHop scene you have to prescribe to the outdated 'don’t f**k with me, I'm a bad boy' routine. I want to stop people thinking this.
I'd much rather be known as a lyricist; someone whose subject matter was actually something worth talking about. An individual who is just that; individual. Someone that tries to be original when there are so many wannabe gangsters walking around the streets. I'm just a normal guy who likes pubs and clubs or takeaway food and television. Nothing else. - 3rd Option
Next we have a HipHop track from £rd Option called Villages. Not sure what possessed Ben to asked me to review this track as I am hardly knowledgeable about urban tunes but can only do my best with whatever people throw at me so here goes;
3rd option is a lyricist first and foremost from what his little bio bit says, not wishing to be associated with the image formed in peoples minds when they hear the word rap or hiphop these days. Which is fair enough, i can relate to that and so can a few others here judging from one of the threads on the forum. This track has a fairly simple beat to it which kicks of and carries the track along
Well firstly, I didn't expect lyrics like this! Great ideas, very Streets like - There's a lot of potential here with the lyrics, i feel the track is tight, but the vocal-work needs to be a little more impacting, the vocals just need to be more prominant maybe, maybe a little more accentuation in the deliverance. Great ideas with the Telephone call - A good Call ;-) This instrumental is near p
Now I didn't know what to expect from 3rd Option, I'm not that hot on the hip-hop scene, and on the whole I don't enjoy that much. BUT, what a great surprise. This tracks starts with a nice small pleasent synth, which I like, so now definately not knowing what to expect. 3rd Options vocals then kick in nice and early, with the nice synth rhythm continuing in the background. The musi
3rd Option are a band from MP3 Unsigned and apart from that I know nothing. So, lets find out together eh? Apparently born and raised in the UK's 'dirty south' (huh?) 3rd Option turn out to be something I should - in all probability - be able to get into. He/they make hip hop with a english rap and I can always make time for one of those. Surprisingly enough ther
Well, what can i say that hasn't been said before, this is a great track. I'll start off with the beat, which is hard hitting and effective. The guitar melody is sweet, not too-prominent (maybe a bit quiet) but aggressive and it deffinately gets a point across in a swift and crystal clear manner. The bassline, although very simple, it is very effective!!!
