Three great tracks... at this moment. enjoyed my time on your page. Great work Rance. Gibbo
Noice track indeed. Great clarity in production. Another enjoyable listen. Cheers.
I like the feel of this tune. Lively feel is all there in spades. Arrangement is solid and this has an authentic stance. The reverb on the drum smack is a welcomed addition.
Thank you, tbwig, for the kind words. Very much appreciated.
Welcome to mp3u! Great single to debut an album with. Enjoyed reading the bio...interesting journey to this point. Liked the write- music -then- learn- to- play approach ;) The single is a departure from your acoustic and voice roots, but not too far. Lots of production and arranging skills being developed here. This track is very tight, and all the parts relate well to each other..little piano fills...drums are big...electronica elements give a lot of breadth and a haunting quality, electric guitars over the acoustic give it an edge, vocal layers make it bigger...lots to notice in this. Posting the lyrics too? Dark night of the soul indeed. Thumbs!
Hailing from the Appalachian foothills of southwest Virginia, Rance Garrison has been writing songs since his early childhood, learning to play guitar and piano along the way. In June of 2012, he released his debut album, “Black Crow,” in which he handled the production and engineering duties himself, working out of a small makeshift studio in the house that his late great-grandfather built.
