Give Me Some
Have been away for a while and just come back to the site and your work. Really great track guys. Very edgy vocals and catchy hook. Builds and evolves very well. A really grown up pop sound. A well deserved no 1!
Hey Terry and James, this has a really different cadence to the intro and morphs into a really fun track. You guys are so inventive with your collaborations...sounds like a tribal influence meets Beach Boys but as weird as that sounds, you pull it off! Well done and rated!
Big congrats on the #1 guys, enjoying the remix. Gibbo
Another great guys, such variation in this track. Well deserving of the number one spot.
Love the Graceland style intro which then swings into a groovy fun listen with some very interesting meshing of vocals. Ace! Love Wednesday x
Wow! Now this is a very cool production indeed. The song has that Motown feel to it with a very modern studio mix. It's a great song overall, as well as the both of you always seem like your at the top of your game. Can't wait to play this for Heather! Overall this track feels right in every way. Great job guys and as I always say, Keep the Faith!!!
Was not expecting that intro... Dont think ive quite heard something like this... feels like its from another era or its my lack of music know how (sorry)... Then the track stops me in my tracks with a kinds electronic fuse with dubstep like bass stabs before its back to the main melody line... Its deffo and interesting track, original and full of some unique ideas!.. Thanks for sharing!
Always a treat for the ears when you two creative musicians put your skills together! Hints of "Peter Gabriel" with an electronic aspect! I wont comment on the electronica part as you know how I feel about that. Very nice song and a super listen! -Mike
The beginning sounds uncannily like Joy Divisions' Atmosphere' then the whole thing brightens up considerably with nice groove and melody with neat breaks - bit like the Sumner/Marr collab Electronic . Good work gentlemen
I've come to recognize the vocal creativety from this collab team, its something I enjoy listening to. yup, excellent change up in there, it gave the song a new cool dimension. hmm, the ending fade seemed a bit abrupt. good stuff.
I very recently advised Terry to dry the drums and vocals at the intro of a certain song. This needs the reverse in my opinion. Try a reverse-fade intro on the "gimme some" catch-line i.e. merge it in with plenty of reverb. Drum fills at the beginning are a little dry too - try some heavyish reverb on these two - i think it might suit the intro better and ya gotta catch folks ears at the start dudes. The strings are brill dudes at the intro and later. 2nd listen - yeah def reduce the impact of them randomesque drums at the intro - i think they're a bit of a spoiler. Still same comment on intro vox - wet em to soak point and sneak em in on a reverse-fade. Nice change at 1min51 - made me sit-up and wonder WTF is going on. A musical pin-prick now and then don't hurt lol. The catchline is good and the whole structure is sound now stop having fun and work harder on the production hee hee. Thumzup.
a bit old style but not bad at all, i'll give you some love by voting for you track...your track is featurig both like accoustic and electronic this is original !
Experimental electronica. Interesting arrangement with some nice ideas. A good song at the heart of this. Enjoyed
Over the top of creative, and original... (adore the harmonies) such a fun listen, guys~ and just what I needed to hear! =Kudos=
Nice hook, great beat, creative arrangement and production but what really shines about this piece is hearing how much fun you had putting it together! Quite a collab, you've started off my day with a smile, and a line I'll be repeating all day "give me some, give me some, give me some of your love"...:)
This sounds like it is a mix between african tribal and electronica, and then it carries me away through other types of music I have heard before, while at the same tame seeming very friendly and entertaining. Trippy and interesting piece of work, I'll have to mull this over again - I have a feeling that this grows on a person each time they hear it. Cool work guys!
Cool song guys. Love that change! It came out of nowhere, but I got it very quickly. This is a fun song, but at the same time, there are some really nice dynamics in there. It has my vote.
Oh Wow I just want to join in, it is so inviting, love what your doing here. Great Tune Here...
I Called yesterday and listened to this track... several times... and i've listened three times tonight so i guess that makes it interesting, as Dan says it goes all sorts of places. But the more you (or i) listen, the more it works to my ears. The Intro is spectacular, wide open African spaces and the "Give me some" hook is infectious, along with the arp. I enjoyed it. Rated.Gibbo
wey hey this is one hell of an arrangement .loving it.
Boy does this go all sorts of places. I like it though. I felt a bit spent after listening to this because there is so damn much to take in. Guess I'm gunna have to listen to some Henry Mancini now.....
I really dig this one guys.. I especially enjoyed the opening ...Slides nicely into a more pop feel and then morphs into Gravity Slip territory. God hate crit such a cool song but I just couldn’t get into that section on this song. It just feels a bit out of place. The strength is the opening and hook/chorus.. It’s just my taste and opinion my friends.. I know my critique wasn’t solicited and It’s not given to hurt or offend. I just think you’ve a something special here. GREAT JOB Eric
I'm too old and miserable these days to turn up at musical festivals but if I did and Muse were performing on the big stage and you two in some low key intimate tent at the back of the field I know where I would rather be. Given that your 1000's of miles apart I know you cant be in the same room but however you manage to integrate your performance wonderfully well. Instrumentally its incredibly imaginative and despite your claims that neither are producers its crystal clear at this end. Somebody kick me in the ass when I forget to come by your page more often. Ant
Very unique tune. Good job on production, vocals. I like the intertwining melodies on the vocals. It really takes a turn when it comes into the electronica section. Very creative choice. This is not usually my type of music but it is good and well done. Nice job. Thumbs up
Ecelent vocals,and production. rated
I'm going to have to give this some more listens and when I get on a decent system too...I'm away and only on laptop speakers...so all I'm hearing is the top end...NO bass @ all LOL will be back Friday to hear it better... peace,Ricky
Hey guys, i didnt realy enjoy the track as a song, i mean the sung parts, but i did love the electronica sections, the intro and at around 1:50. very nice they were. Would be nice to hear those small parts evolve into a pure electonica piece ;) Keep enjoying what you do. Mal.
HI Terry and James, I have to say, strait off the bat that I really feel really excited about this song, it has loads of character and a real depth to it as well. When I read your comments about, songwriters, producers, learning the "craft" by doing, I thought this was spot on,, as that relates to me, as well as others on this site. Personally I don't like overproduction in music, or in any form of art, even films. I like my truth "unvarnished". Good job guys! Cheers, Andrew
