I get that same feeling with all of my tracks Lizzie! I think this is awesome as is!! It's a deep and reflective piece of work!! Reminds me slightly of Residues "Nightshade" , which I love to the core!! I love this too. I'm loving that hidden square tone, highlighting your brilliant vocals and superb lyrics!! Great work!! Baz
i thought this was pretty cool , has a little of lana del rey about it
backing music is cool with a lot to it. vocals i liked if your not happy with them i think another master of the vocals can bring them out more. no need to re-do to my ears,
good song enjoyed very easy to listen to
I really like the instrumental and mysterious vocal, I guess I listen to some sort of overall vibe, which I'm liking a lot. I like the vocals, maybe you are going for a Bjork kind of thing, experimental, anyhow I really like the expressiveness of this song, and your production is good, nice mix in the sonic palate, good bass/treble mix!
I can hear potential in this song and basically agree with everything already said. If you can get that vocal track sorted I think you will have a great track here.
First listen, first line. Couldn't make out out the opening words. Was it "by a" as in "by a trapdoor"? Important to nail the first line. 2nd line was lost on me too - sounds like "gas is stone cold"? I think generally lift the vocal by a couple of dB. The change at 2min15 was nice but I like prog rock (what that usually means is up to you lol). I enjoyed the ride and was genuinely interested by it. Thumzup.
Good to hear you're back making music. you've ask for honest feedback and so I think you've got two different songs competing with each other. I would have preferred conventional instrumentation rather than the 80's synth pop sound with the harsh Electronic drums. That's just my gut feeling, see what other people have to say.
