Dead Meat (Recorded Live)
What a Monster of a track! This reminds me a LOT of The Prodigy, especially the song Spitfire from their album "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned". The vocals are very punk and that always goes good with electronica. You guys played this live? I bet the people were shell shocked when you started playing this! It's really a crazy mix of different ideas and lots of crunchy synth sounds throw in for good measure!! Nice use of the flanger / phaser effect too, all around this is a solid production and a good listen. Highly Rated!
Interesting lyrics, and an oddly appealing accompaniment. Vocalist reminds me a bit of Rick Ocasek from The Cars...nice work! Enjoyed this'un....thumbs up
Nice works lads elements of Front 242 and Fad gadget. Yeah love the grime to this and that punk style vocal. All from one unit . Bravo and attitude aplenty. Glad I checked the track out.
liking the growling intro to this slice of nasty electronic funk. Ace.
Love Wednesday x
Haha LOVE IT, great live rawness kicks ass, cool vocals! im on ...ing fire. Another classic track from the masters of true twisted sounds, SWEET : )
Inspired by Stephen King, you say? Wow, now that is some inspiration to work with! :) Some clever rhyms going on in there... and sounding pretty badass, cool! =Kudos= :)
Forbidden Colours are a Swansea (South Wales, UK) based band who discovered synthesisers in 1979 and, after years of study have finally found the little button that turns them on. We are Mark Newton and Andy Jonah, a control freak and fat boy respectively. We have been influenced by many people, including our bank manager, the electricity board and a hypnotist named the amazing Mesmo.
We would describe our music as having been written by us, musically, using some instruments in a style which is usually the complete opposite of what we started out to write, but which, nonetheless is surprisingly good. We hope one day to pioneer the practice of playing air-synths. We are possibly the only Welshmen in existence who can't sing (we were thrown out of the choir for shoving), but we're not that worried because the music is the thing. When not writing music we generally tend to stare off into space listening to whatever tunes our inner DJ's spin in our heads. Contrary to everything written here, we do take our music seriously. Biographies, on the other hand...
Mark Newton: Vocals (well he calls them vocals), Vocoder, Lead guitar, Synthesisers, Samplers, Percussion
Andy Jonah: Backing vocals, Vocoder, Bass guitar, Synthesisers, Samplers, Percussion (tea and welsh cakes)
We are currently looking for a Swansea based vocalist, male, female, transgender or even hermaphrodite. (We don't care just so long as you can carry a tune in a bucket.)
