Sorry I missed this 1st x around. Cool creation! Really original sound you have going on. It's wild! I like what you have going for the drums along with that wild sound. It really creates a neat vibe. Thumbs.
Well this is fracking different, that's for sure! Rich's comment summed it up perfectly - sounds like music heard behind closed doors, and due to the brevity of the piece, a door being passed by but lingered at long enough to satisfy one's curiosity toward the intriguing sounds emanating from within. Rated E for enigmatic!
When I was a kid, my bed room was the last door down a long hall and up the steep stairs in the attic and my sister used to have these parties with her girlfriends and play all this wonderful music that I would listen to and it sounded something like this. All reflection that gave the music an added musical quality. This experiment is amazing to me to conjure up such a faded memory brought fresh again.
You know, I do like the experimental nature of this...playful risk-taking..love it..and the impromptu feel...glad you brought it back...quirky as anything...grabs me..as does the whistling, which I love to do myself!
Merry Christmas James!
Thank you very much, James, for your kind words about my piece. I got chills while listening to this very unusual little track. I don’t know if this was your intent, but the reverb being set to such an extremely wet level had the effect of instantly transporting me to a dream state. Since this piece has a marked 1950’s rock ‘n’ roll sound, I imagined hearing an elderly person’s foggy memory of a school dance from within the person’s own head, something like a scene from a film. The whistling represents the person’s waking remembrance of the dream. The past is gone forever! Chilling!
I think this would make a very interesting interlude between album tracks, whistle is the star of the show. Thumbs, Gibbo
Well this is very country ,I really like the shortness of it .It feels quite ghostly Reminds me of something the Beatles would do .very nice indeed. Paul.
very experimental sound...heavy f/x on this creates the "chaos... very different, yet moody...always like whistling and the trailing off of the chaos :)
A new band. A new sound.
