Dr Quasar tucked his Vibra-Scope into his crimson vest, it was the only one that worked, and he'd tried all the rest,
he knew his time was running out,
the future was at stake,
his reading sensed the coming end,
Earth's cookies had all been baked!

Dr Quasar, was a good, good man!

So deep in this dimension, our hopes and dreams reside, but not even the wise old men, could stop this fatal tide,

The leaders pushed the common line, the one we'd heard before,
to ease the burden of the rich,
and hang stuff on the poor!

So Dr Quasar, knew the stakes at hand,
he knew the wall he'd face,
he'd put his findings in the rags,
the truth of time and space,

His whole career, went down the tubes without a trace,
and with his dreams, i'm afraid to say the future of the human race!

The magic carpet ride we're on,
became a bed of nails,
as the train of progress, hurtling on
so quickly was derailed,
the blanket of our ignorance,
enclosed our narrow view,
are we ever going to work this problem though?
