Tell Me More (with Willy Jo Parker)
Sure makes a big difference with Willy Jo Parker in this mix...panned wide..nicely eq'd...well-placed phrases...adds quite a bit of ambience to the track..did I miss the "..more...more.." ending before? Liked all these touches!
Lovin' the wah wah :) Works so well. Adds so much :) Nice ! Peace,Ricky
Seriously, Dave, this is not funny...it's truly sexy and the weird but wonderful guitar additions add to the sexiness. Just a great vibe and I could imagine lovers making love to it
This just got real pretty, and even freakier? Yeah, it did....a huge shoutout to Willy Jo Parker, friggin' amazing!
Love the super laid back late night vocal. Saucy subject matter but we Brits love that sort of thing we're just not allowed to say so. Love Wednesday x
Ah...those "electronic " musicians and their quantizing the life out of wonderfully human tracks :D Had to laugh...out of time is the right time...what a groove with those guitar and drum layers...very creative backing track...but the star is the way you mixed and got these lyrics rendered in that classic tone that is DJC...nice up in y our face vocal mix...really liked that..and the lyrics of course! :) Thumbs!
I was listening seriously to the guitar chords and drums as it felt a little out of time at the beginning but you find the groove after a while and then your vocal started in those deep sexy tones and the music side went out of the window! Phew - getting hot around here David she says grabbing her senorita fan and blushing!!
A real 'cheeky' one from you David!..ooo-err! Very interresting chord sequences...that suits your deep, dark, gravelly vocals....Tell me more?...err..think ya better keep it to yourself matey!!! lol keith
This made me blush a little. Sexy and evocative. A jazzy feel that fits the turf "laid" out here.
HI David, I like this, its got a slightly quizzical off kilter catchiness, that I find charming, Its very different, and the guitar work is so interesting, your half whispered vocals are so laid-back and cool, and somehow I think the narrator will be doing something other than talking, very soon! Quirky gem! Cheers, Andrew
Quite a few of your tunes have this great impromptu jam feel where everything starts coming together, one of my favorite films was Beatles Let it Be, watching them build the music from scratch. Interested to see what you do with this but love the honesty of this take. Gibbo
Hi Dave I like the lo-fi acoustic vibe on this one. Ya really dig that old acoustic. Lyrics are fantastic as well Dave.. You really are one of the very best lyricist I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Vocal is dark and deep bringing those words to life. nice on man! best, Eric
Short and sweet, Dave. Trade mark vocals :) but more deeper? The guitar melody gets in your head. I'm on 3rd listen and it's still bouncing in my head. Cool ! Peace, Ricky
THIS IS GREAT! I hear the very beginning of a cool song being created here. I dig the chords you have planned on this track, and the lyrics are cool too. Can't wait to hear the next round - I'm downloading this so I can check out the progress.
You sexy ole thang!!!! jeeez I need a shower now
Very much a strong point are your vocals in this one David. Going south eh? Ahem...lol enjoyed my listen cheers :)
Working out of my home studio here in Tulsa, with help from family and friends both local and world-wide; check song descriptions for details on who's jumping in...
I'm David Joel Carter, and I'm happy to share some of my songs along with a couple of tunes by others I had a hand in. Check credits closely on each song, the line up changes often depending on who's available, and you might even bump into President Lincoln there.
Video above is courtesy of Mike Round, who besides doing an excellent job with the animations, plays a scorching lead guitar...Randy Perryman's playing drums and I've got the rest. Thanks for putting that together, Mike!
